AMACO Marine and Shipping
LNG Conversion
AMACO is taking position at the major ports for marine and shipping low-carbon fuels. The maritime industry is exploring alternative green fuels for use as a marine fuel in response to recent and impending changes to global constraints on emissions. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) has been adopted as the alternative fuel of choice by several passenger cruise lines that call at the major ports (Barcelona, Port of Piraeus-Athens, Lisbon, Venice, Amsterdam, Istanbul) main cruise terminals. LNG has also become the preferable alternative fuel by other users like container ships, bulks, passenger ferries and car carriers. LNG bunkering needs to become the new service that all ports should be capable to provide efficiently, safely and low-carbon fuel with high parity and free of CO2 emissions.
